Continuing the trend of characters introduced in the Transformers animated movie with annoying verbal patterns, Wreck-Gar was leader of the Junkions, of the planet Junkion.
Like most of his… (race? breed? tribe? It’s never even really made clear whether or not the Junkions are Transformers at all, though they do undeniably transform into motorcycles)… people, Wreck-Gar had watched way too much Earth television by the time the Autobots showed up, littering his speech with references to “low, low prices” and similar telltale signs of too much exposure to shopping networks. This turned out to have a positive flip-side, as it did allow for a rockin’ dance party after the Junkions and Autobots realized they both love all the same game shows.
For a robot that transforms into a motorcycle, Wreck-Gar sports a surprisingly impressive Fu Manchu mustache. This is obviously the product of some wisely acquired shopping network product, since it gives him something to stroke thoughtfully as he spouts 1980’s sitcom catchphrases.
