Introduced in the animated Transformers movie, Autobot Kup transforms into a… ok, I’m not really sure what that is. Some sort of futuristic space-truck? A extremely unsafe futuristic space-truck, considering he lacks a tailgate.
A grizzled old-timer, Kup regales those around him with tales of his earlier years, blasting Decepticons, how hard things were, how they had to march three miles through the snow to get to school, etc. In other words, he’s Ironhide, but not Ironhide, so now that Ironhide’s dead you have to go buy Kup too.
Kup didn’t really show up all that much after the movie. Presumably he retired.
Getting a copy of Kup usually isn’t too hard, with the usual disclaimer that a mint in box from the 80’s will probably be quite a bit more expensive.
