A gentle, soft-spoken Autobot, Hound doesn’t miss the harsh robotic world of Cybertron. Rather than just settling for Earth, he actively embraces his new environment, considering it home with surprising speed.
Besides having a personality wholly unsuited for combat, Hound also seems to be a bit older than most of the other Autobots, relying more on experience than raw strength and speed when it comes to combat. He generally serves as a scout for the Autobot forces, using his experience to avoid unnecessary conflict and his ability to create holographic projections to get out of trouble when he is noticed. Unfortunately, these tricks don’t always get him out of trouble, and he’s one of the more frequently injured Autobots in the early seasons of the original cartoon.
Hound can be a little bit difficult to get in good quality for collectors, as he’s been reissued relatively infrequently for a first run Transformer. As always when a collectible is relatively rare, mint-in-box condition is especially difficult and expensive to locate.
