Let’s face it, everybody wants a pet. But, the Flintstones Dino was different from any pet you have ever seen! He was different for one primary reason. That reason is that he was … a dinosaur. Granted, the television show was set during prehistoric times, a time when cavemen inhabited earth, and everything was quite different. The way of life was totally different from what we are accustomed to living.
And, boy was Dino ever a pet! Pebbles, Fred and Wilma’s daughter, could ride on his back. It did appear that Dino could reason just like adults. Protection was of a different quality, and he was loved by both Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Rubble. Unfortunately, today there are no pets that are available to us that can even begin to compare with Dino, but we can still dream about it, can’t we?
