Finding Flintstones books to collect is easy. There were several different versions of books based on the television show and made by various companies. Little Golden Books produced books, along with Whitman, who released their book The Flintstones and Dino in 1961. Comic books were produced in order to get the attention of Flintstone fans, but the Flintstone competition was really against superheroes, which were very popular back in the 1960s (as well as today!)
The famous Peter Pan Company, known for storybooks and records combined; also hit the shelves with the Flintstones’ book and record. Young readers learning how to read followed along while listening to a 45-RPM record, which included word for word reading with background noises fitting the plot, making it one of the favorite Flintstone books available.
