Bedrock is a fictional town where the Flintstones lived. Children of the 1960s decade were probably fans of the popular animated Flintstones television series. But, The Flintstones wasn’t just limited to children… many adults also enjoyed this very popular nighttime show.
The Flintstones Bedrock home was the scene of many amusing complications each week. The Flintstones animated series was not a flash in the pan. The series aired several years and spawned at least two movies. Although Bedrock,the Flintstones’ city was definitely set in the prehistoric era, it was very similar in economic structure to a modern day American city.
Flintstones Bedrock was a typical cartoon city of the prehistoric era – with palm trees and warm breezes. Sources say Bedrock was located in Cobblestone County. Fred Flintstone worked at the rock quarry and his wife, Wilma, stayed at home in order to take care of Fred and their baby, Pebbles.
