In the fifties, every young cowboy (or cowgirl!) wanted to be like the famous king of the cowboys, Roy Rogers. Along with that wish, every little cowboy wanted to have his/her own Roy Rogers holster, along with a cap gun or two. It was not only the kids who wanted a part of the show, but also, some adults wanted leather holsters designed just like Roy’s.

Many of the holsters came in sets of guns, the holster and a badge. Collectors look for the sets along with individual items to add to their favorite television collection. Made by several companies, it is not just collecting a Roy Rogers holster, but all sorts of other memorabilia about the show as well.
