In the 1950’s, the wholesome family television show hosted by Roy Rogers ended with the Roy Rogers Happy Trails song. Many viewers can remember how they used to sing along with Roy as he said goodbye each week.
The song had a catchy tune and was easy to sing along with. It was Roy’s way of saying that he hopes things go well until you sit and watch the next episode. “Happy trails to you until we meet again”.
In more recent times, the song has caught the attention of other performers and different variations have been released. No modern release of the Roy Rogers Happy Trail song is more memorable than the one released by the band Van Halen in the 1980’s. Happy trails to you, partner.
