the Roy Rogers television show had one of the most famous covered wagons. This wagon was a chuck wagon. It was a place to get meals and good coffee and with the popularity of the show, it started toys, cookie jars and lunchboxes to look like the famous wagon. The chow wagon was the name of the famous lunchbox that resembled the shape of the famous chuck wagon.

Collectors look for anything that is from the hit TV show, including the wagon. Toys from the Roy Rogers show include the chuck wagon, Bullet (the dog), Trigger (Roy’s horse) and Buttermilk (Dale’s horse), as well as the jeep. Seeing some of these items can “trigger” our memories to times that sure did seem a whole lot more simple!
