Legos got their start in Europe in the 1940’s. Their popularity quickly spread throughout the world. In the late 1990s, Lego Star Wars were born. There are well over 200 different sets in the Star Wars collection.
In 1999, Lego Star Wars started out with 14 different sets to choose from. Episode I, II, III, IV, V, and VI were all included in subsequent years. In 1999 however, the Lego company only included episodes I, IV, V, and VI. Then in 2007, the Lego company added a set from the Expanded Universe. 2008 brought Lego Star Wars sets from the Clone Wars. 2009 and 2010 brought even more to the Lego collection and the makers of Lego Star Wars have already begun the addition of 2011 sets.
