Created in the 1940s, Lego brand building blocks have been a favorite toy for children all over the world. Lego Duplo is a line of block sets designed for younger children, ages 1-6. This line has bigger blocks and easier themes of play. The Duplo line contains many different sets for imaginary play that all work together with the basic building blocks.
Duplo animals aren’t confined to just being normal, household pets. Of course, dogs and cats are represented, but elephants, monkeys, seals, crocodile, even rhinoceros can be found in a Duplo menagerie. There are even whales!

Lego Duplo animals are a great addition to any Lego set. The animals can be found with several of the sets, including the zoo and farm, or purchased separately. Small children love animals and role-playing with them is often a favorite pastime. Any Lego collection would be complete with addition of some Lego Duplo animals. Children never tire of these classic toys.
