The 1972 & 1974 replica tanker trucks were unique in the Hess gas station collectible toy series. Originally selling for $1.79 (1972) and $1.89 (1974), these tankers were deliberate reissues of the 1968 tanker model. Only 400,000 were made each year. Recently, they have become favorites with Hess replica collectors, dealers and historians.
