Hess Toy Trucks were created in 1964 by Leon Hess. He wanted to provide U.S. families with a high quality, affordable toy for the Christmas season. The trucks were an instant sensation and continue to be collected by kids around the world. (When we say “kids” that includes the “kids” who were little “kids” in the 1960s!) The 1967 Hess Tanker Truck model was one of the earliest models created by Hess. It is a beautiful 18-wheeler fuel oil tanker with gasoline on one side of the tanker and fuel oil on the other. This Hess Tanker truck has working headlights and tail lights and has a removable hose.
