Zodac has changed many times over the course of his characters’ existence. The sheer number of changes that the Masters of the Universe franchise has made to him has left many individuals very perplexed as to who he really is, and what his function is. His neutrality has been accepted as an overall generalization of the character.

Zodac was the first character that was developed and thought of when the toyline was being brainstormed. This figure was given claw feet in toy form. This is unusual, given the fact that the character is neither assigned to the evil forces or the good forces, and claw feet is associated with evil in the series. Fans have been left a little in the dark with this character.
