In He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon series, the character Fisto is described as an extremely strong warrior with a beard and reddish-brown hair. He is the older brother of Man-At-Arms and prefers the outdoors to the constraints of the Royal Palace.
During the Great Unrest, the two brothers are driven apart. Later, Fisto, who has been causing trouble in the forest, frees He-Man and the Masters from a cave-in, but his right hand is injured during the rescue. Man-At-Arms replaces the hand with a large metal one which has the ability to break through rock and other hard surfaces. Fisto, once a bad guy, changes his ways and becomes a hero. He returns to help the people of the forest and brings peace.
