Clawful was a character that appeared in He-Man & the Masters of the Universe, a 1980s animated series and toy line. He appears as a crustacean creature, most likely a hybrid between a humanoid and a crab or a lobster. His most distinguishing feature were his claws that he used to choke his opponents.
He was introduced to the cartoon series in 1983, nearing the ends of the show’s first season. His appearance on the show somewhat differed from the toy he was based on. An example of the difference is that he was given fins to help him resemble a sea creature rather than a crustacean. It also showed Clawful as having his claws of identical size instead of having the right one bigger than the other, possibly to make his animation more fluid and easy to draw.
