The Ghostbusters firehouse was created in 1997 by the Kenner corporation. It was one of the only toy play sets that managed to get released before the eventual cancellation of the animated series. The item was created with great attention to detail so that it more accurately represented the firehouse on the cartoon show.
This toy featured a fully working fire pole. Figures were attached via a small plastic pedestal that would allow you to simulate the Ghostbusters sliding down to the bottom floor level. There was also a garage that could house the Ecto-1 vehicle. The playset also included Ectoplasm slime that could be poured through the ceiling of the building to recreate some of the more memorable scenes of this popular series.
