In the 1950s, Walt Disney introduced children to the exciting legend of Davy Crockett. Soon this King of the Wild Frontier was being emulated by kids everywhere. Merchandising ran wild, even back then, which is why there were several versions of the Davy Crockett scarf.

One very ambitious scarf actually shows multiple images of Crockett engaged in various activities, like battling a bear and fighting Indians. All along the border is the name of ‘Davy Crockett’ repeated several times. It’s yellow, with the images in black and red ink.
Another vintage Davy Crockett scarf has less pictures on it, and has a picture of Crockett kneeling. Images of his horse, the woods, and a knife are included. It features hues mostly of green, brown, and white.
