One of the best-loved and fastest selling items for boys and girls was the Davy Crockett raccoon tail hat. Manufacturers usually made this hat of faux fur with a raccoon striped tail, but some made real fur hats. There was a girls’ version of the hat made. It was a white hat with coon-striped tail.
