All kids wanted to be like Davy Crockett, but to be like Davy, kids needed the Davy Crockett belt. Sold in the 1950s, it was a leather belt made by various companies. Holster sets and buckles added to the belt were welcomed gifts to any child at that time. The belts had either a letter stamp displaying the famous pioneer’s name, or they were plain belts, but their molded buckles had the name and a picture of Davy Crockett.
