Davy Crockett action figures were a popular toy in the 1950s due to the Davy Crockett television show. The show originally aired in 1954. It started with three one-hour episodes. This show was popular with children (as well as adults!) and spawned an entire toy line. These toys ranged from a 100 piece set called Davy Crockett and the Alamo to several types of Davy Crockett action figures. There were even Davy Crockett night-lights.
It can be very difficult to find a Davy Crockett action figure now. It is almost unheard of to find a Davy Crockett toy in mint condition. In the 1950s, most people weren’t concerned with something being a collectible, so the packaging the Davy Crockett action figures was probably thrown away…
