If you grew up in the 1950s or 1960s, then you are probably very familiar with the game called Chinese Checkers. Chinese Checkers features a six-pointed star game board that has little indented grooves in which marbles (the markers/pieces) are placed. The object of Chinese Checkers is to jump over the other player’s marbles. Each player’s marbles are a different color. The object of the game is to get all of your marbles into the star’s opposite point.
With the name Chinese checkers, you would think that the game originated in China. Nope! It actually originated in Germany!
