Board Games are almost a fact of life! Almost everybody can remember playing a Board Game at one time or another. Many adults can remember playing Candy Land as children.
Candy Land, with its brightly colored playing board, playing deck, and little markers/pieces is a great (although very simple) example of a Board Game. There is a goal to the game, which is to be the quickest to reach the final destination. There are tokens/pieces that are moved, and there is a strategy involved in the game. The strategy is to move the token as “directed” by your chosen card. Of course, since Candy Land is a very young children’s game, there is a lot of luck and very little finesse involved.
Board Games range from the very easy games like Candy Land to more complicated games like Chess. There are Board Games for almost everyone’s skill levels and interests!
